 Beijing residents’ per capita disposable income exceeds $8,940 in 2018 Beijing residents per capita disposable income stood at 62,000 yuan (9,238 U.S. dollars) in 2018, according to a report released recently by National Bureau of Statistics Survey Office in Beijing.Data show, last year, the residents per capita disposable income increased 6.3 percent in real terms, after deducting the price factor, which basically synchronized with the economic growth.The residents income from wage and salary saw a steady rise with the implementation of measures like raising minimum wage and threshold of personal income tax.The residents income from wage and salary rose 7 percent year-on-year, accounting for 60.4 percent of the per capita disposable income and contributing nearly a half to the income increase in 2018.Beijing made a great effort to improve peoples livelihood in 2018, which strengthened common peoples sense of gain.In terms of healthcare, Beijing built 34 close medical institution associations in 2018. The basic medical insurance basically covered all populations.As for the service provided to the elderly, the capital newly built 182 pension service stations. The basic old-age pension was raised in 2018.Last year, the capital tried to improve both conditions and quality of kindergartens and enrolled 30,000 more children in pre-school education.Beijing also took measures to make high quality education resources cover more areas in 2018.
